And Dos. The first one I posted was the third in the series, this one was the second and I feel the most successful. The composition and the palette came together really well, though the scans here don't do it much justice. My monitor is also going to pieces on me, this looked a lot brighter on the school's computer.
This one's done in the same media as the last. The theme for this set was Inner balance and stress relief, this picture in particular is about centering oneself against external stress, such as hectic day-to-day insanities.
Also 16 x 12 on Arches cover stock, drawn in Unison soft pastel, Nupastel, Prismacolor colored pencils, and charcoal, both black and white.
this is so beautiful, and the design is just stunning! It seems to be a fusion of nature and technology, or is it a battle? Reading your explanation it realy fits... I like it especialy the colour sheme, its so beautiful ^^ ma makes me feel a little more relaxed myself.
This is an interesting piece; the figure is so peaceful and calm. The piece radiates a weird sense of tension, though, which is cool because it helps the viewer realize that, despite this tension that even WE can feel, all the way on the other side of the paper, this girl is capable of chilling.
Nice textures again! I find it interesting that in both pieces you chose not to show the figure's feet. Was this a conscientious decision? Nice work!
