I drew this to one of my absolute favorite Kanno songs, hence the title. So it's DEPRESSING and WOEFUL and SAD ;A;
The significance of the gears- Somebody brought this up in a comment, and since pretty much everything in Crow has to do with gears, or more specifically fantasy clockworks that are completely non-functional but cool looking, i'm gonna take some time and DRABBLE about it.
Basically, the theory behind the world of Crow is that everything is just one little piece of something bigger. from cells to people to populations to planets to universes, so on and so on. The final point that everything is expanding out toward is represented by a gigantic clock called Judgement, and within it's works you'll find earth and everything else ever ticking along in some unfathomably HUUUUGE continuous (though not undynamic) pattern. Hence all the gears everywhere, which can be seen/sensed by the crows.
Characters like Rain and Nobel are called crows. Crows are the gears, or were the gears, before they malfunctioned and were dropped from the system. Simply put, they woke up and got thrown away. Normally they just fade away, but sometimes they linger..
And yes I am trying to draw this as a comic X D;. But this month sucks for that.. so... next month i hope i can pounce on it more seriously. It won't be able to go very fast since I'm working all the time, but every little bit counts X D;;

Oh wow this is gorgeous o-o The contrast between the two halves is amazing, and I especially like how you colored the cat on the left but not on the right.
Seriously though, your lineart, shading, EVERYTHING looks fantastic.
Oh my god, that's one of my favourite songs EVER. *likes depressing music*
I could stare at the gears for hours, they're so wonderfully drawn! Also, your description sounds really interesting :0 makes me feel almost intimitated when thinking about the gigantic clock and everything..whoa.
