I have a history with hating gouache. And I still hate it! Despite the fact that I love to use it... isn't that complicated and a little dumb? I like to think we have one of those weird hateful relationships that we both secretly enjoy, gouache and I.
Anyway this piece, despite being painted in my arch nemesis gouache, is about my favorite thing in the whole world: MY SISTERBEAST . This was done for the gouache segment in my Tools of the Trade class this semester, for the assignment "I can't live without _______"
Pretty much if anything happened to my sister, I'd probably cease to exist. so DEFINITELY I painted my sister. I tried to boil down the essence of Rachel and put it into one 10 x 10 painting, and this is how it came out: My sister flying over the city at night in something super fabulous that she probably made on her sewing machine train THAT SHE'S RIDING ON, and the man in the moon trying to give her a kiss and she's all like nuh UHH suckaaaa!!
Best. Run. On. Sentence. Ever. She totally does this like every day or something. I dont know. Because she kicks ass.
Awh!! You're so sweet, allie ;; I love this and I bet rachel does too! did she ever see it while it was a work in progress? C: I love the sewing machine train :E

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
