It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Doing the artist alley thing at A-kon next week again, this time with the help of my lovely little sister. We are going to be doing some Homestuck cosplay. She will be Nepeta, and I am excited about this, because I get to do her maaaaake-uuuuuup.... few things get me excited more than extreme costume make-up. Meanwhile, I am currently sewing gross amounts of yaller lace to my poofy Jane? prospit dress.

I am going to be a fairy goddamn princess.

Seriously though, we hope you come by and say hello. We're loud and friendly types. I won't be able to wander much if at all, but if you come by island F table 26, you will be at Studio Birdseed. Or just look for the table with like seventy million freaking buttons of stuff.

Yay dinosaur dress! Definitely come by, we'll be pinned behind the table all weekend I'm sure. We will say hi hello and probably gush about your dinosaur dress, because that is where dinosaurs belong: ON DRESSES. *hi five*

And holy cow, yeah, It took me a while to figure out what or if I was gonna cosplay anything. I almost wrote the whole thing off = =;. First I was like shoot, I'll be Meenah, that'd be fun! Then I remembered gray paint and artwork. One of us needed free hands. I settled on a redesigned Prospit thing because prospit is shiny and I have never worn a poofy dress before. ._.

Then I nearly couldn't finish it and aaaaaaa.....
