Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Well its seems to be that time of the month. no, not -that= time of the month, i mean the time of the month where i wake up and for once have a split second to post something. Alas actually i don't really, but i want to anyway.

AUSA went fantastically well, thanks to everybody who came by! It was a basketload of surprises from the getgo, especially finding out that my friend

was also attending?! Not only that, but we had tables by each other and everything! with school and all I had to bolt out like lightning around 3 pm on sunday though, but i can't complain. It was just amazingly fun! and it looks like we'll be doing it again next year so hope to see ya there!!

Also, on the news of conventions- It's for reals, ima be at anime detour in 2009 again! : D

NOT LIKE I TOTALLY HAVE TONS OF NEW ART TO BRING OR ANYTHING ER... fehh : D... i have a lot of doodlesplat sketches, but no time to finish them at the moment. Works been going well enough, school has been terribly exciting, and for the first time it's snowing ! like really snowing, its sticky! okay so its not that much, but gimme a break. snow is epic.

Im looking forward to the break though, there are so many things i want to work on and can't on account of everything else. I've really been pushing on my style a lot lately too, so getting a shred of time to expiriment with it is gonna be wonderful for a change ;=;.

Thus it's time to quickly post things and get back to frantically trying to finish everything. But first.. DO YOU WANNA SEE SOMETHING SCARY?!

From the depths of the internet it came.. this is basically a huge shiny chunk of my adolescence flying around cyberspace. It's my first ever image gallery, predating deviantart quite a ways.. hells bells, some of that art is so freaking old it's frightening. I was pretty much blown away to find out that not only was the old site still up, but still mostly intact. Then I made hot chocolate and had warm fuzzy thoughts involving the shenanigans of my youth.

Hey wow, okay, I don't even know if you'll see my comment, but I wanted to say something here.

The art you linked back to, your old gallery is actually pretty nostalgic for me as well! It has your old Magi Nation artwork amongst it! I actually saw a lot of this stuff as well, I was the guy sitting/working next to Matt Holmberg for most of the creation of the Magi Nation cardgame. If you look on the cards, anything that says Vega was me.

Anywho, just so you know, Holmberg always found the art you sent him to be super inspiring. Often times he felt your renderings were better than his own and would starting working a lot harder to make the Magi Nation stuff even nicer. Heh < X D

So yeah~ yay for seeing this art again. Thanks for posting the link. ^ ^
